Burlington Art Walk
Each spring the City of Burlington hosts it’s annual Art Walk. Local artists are invited to submit their work to be judged. There are several categories and each year all sorts of mediums are represented. Oil paintings, pastels, water colors, glass and photography. The winners of the various categories then have their work displayed at a local business for the month of April. A brochure is created with a map showing the location of each business hosting one of the beautiful art pieces.
This year I entered 3 pieces, canvas wrapped prints of photographs. One of them were chosen by the judges as Burlington Art Walk Best of Show.
And a second image was chosen as the Judge’s Choice Award!
These two large canvas prints are now on display at Washington Federal Savings at 300 E. Fairhaven Avenue, Burlington, (360) 755-9241.
The Burlington Art Walk is a part of the month-long Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Each community in the Skagit Valley hosts a wide variety of events celebrating Spring and Tulips.
These prints and many other stunning images of Skagit Valley are for sale in my Scenic Washington Gallery.
There you can view images from all over Washington and order fine art prints or canvas wrapped prints and choose from a wide selection of sizes and framing options.
For anyone interested in donning a pair of boots and venturing out to capture their own stunning image, I am offering Tulip Photo Tours this spring, You can learn more about these and sign up on line here.
There are other Photo Tours available as well, Heritage Barn Photo Tour, North Cascades Photo Tours and Night Sky Imaging Photo Tours where we make a trip up along the North Cascades Highway late at night to capture images of the Milky Way!
