Last night was another wonderful opportunity for capturing tulips. But it didn’t start that way! The afternoon brought hail and heavy rains to the valley. The dark, heavy skies brooded and precipitated.

And then, like magic, they were gone!

The heavy rains prompted visitors to arm themselves with umbrellas. This particular bumbershoot was too colorful to pass up.

As the earth turned, presenting itself to the sun brief moments of photographic opportunity presented themselves.

The earlier rains created portals for imagination to take hold.

A Plein Air artist arrived to capture the colors and glory of the fields.
