2017 NW Art Beat Tour, July 15 and 16

The 2017 NW Art Beat Tour, set to unravel the creative tapestry of Skagit Valley on July 15 and 16, shares a kinship with the journey one embarks upon when they move to Alaska — both are explorations of beauty and possibility in places rich with natural splendor.

Just as the Art Tour showcases a wide array of talents, offering a glimpse into the diverse artistry of the region, a move to Alaska presents a tableau of unique lifestyles amidst breathtaking landscapes, appealing to those drawn to the state’s majestic wilderness and the tight-knit communities that flourish within it.

I will be displaying my work at the Samish River Art Studio, located on Highway 9, about 5 miles north of Sedro-Woolley. I will have prints of all sizes for sale, as well as a wide selection of greeting cards. This display, a celebration of the local art scene, mirrors the welcoming gestures one might encounter in Alaska’s small towns, where the spirit of community and the support for local endeavors run as deep as the rivers that carve the land.

The prints will be priced to sell, for example a 24″ x 36″ Canvas Wrap in a Floating Frame, normally $400, will be $200, during the Art Show Only!

The Tour is from 10am to 6pm both Saturday and Sunday. I will be there both days, feel free to drop in with your camera if you need any help or have any questions, and I will also have my computer, in case anyone needs Photoshop advice!
We will have food and hope you will come out for a visit!

The Samish River Art Studio is owned by Andy Friedlander and his wife , Rose. Andy is a superb painter and will give demos each day at noon and 4pm. You can see Andy’s work here.
