AMATEUR ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE

For anyone interested in images of the night sky this magazine has it all: superb images of the Milky Way, the planets of our solar system, star clusters, the sun, the moon, man, the wide array of images is stunning.

And there are articles in each issue detailing every aspect of How To, what equipment you need, how to use it, where and when to shoot, how to edit images after capture.

There is a link to tutorials where you can watch videos about each aspect of astrophotography, a forum where you can post questions and details about various competitions.

Whether you are a newcomer or an experienced pro the Amateur Astrophotography Magazine has loads of cool stuff for you.

The lost recent issue of their monthly  magazine came out today. As usual its crammed with breathtaking images and loads of great tips and tool.

Basically what its about is finding a perfect foreground for shooting the Milky Way. last summer I struck gold when I hiked up to an old fire lookout on the slopes of Mount Baker. I had been planning thee trip, waiting for the confluence of clear skies and no clouds.

The hike was pleasant and luck smiled on me! The lookout was unoccupied (its open to anyone to stay the night on a first come, first serve basis), the skies clear and when the Milky Way started to shine it was right above Mount Baker.

The result was a series of fantastic images. Here they are!
