Photoshop Training in La Conner
I am excited to finally be offering 2 Photoshop Classes.
I never wanted to learn Photoshop. I was drawn into it rather reluctantly. But as a Nature – Landscape – Night Sky Photographer editing and prepping my images for printing is now an integral part of what I do.
The first class, Introduction to Photoshop, is all about editing your images. How to get your images to look like the scene you actually saw with your eyes. The Class takes two sessions or class periods.
I am offering a second Photoshop class as well, a 3 session class where we will do a series of creative assignments where you will learn advanced Photoshop Skills while having fun.

Introduction to Photoshop - 2 sessions
In these two sessions we will cover how to enhance your images using Camera Raw. This allows you to adjust the shadows and highlights, as well as many other options, and make your image look much closer to what your eye saw when you captured the image.
The Introduction to Photoshop Class covers 2 separate sessions. In the first session you will learn how to edit images with Photoshop we will edit images together as a group and then you will have time to edit your own images in class. There will be homework assignments for you to complete before the second session.
Every month I will be teaching ALL of the Photoshop Classes. If you miss a class one month, you can come to the session next month.
In the second session we will review the home work and learn new Photoshop tools for selecting parts of an image to edit. We will cover how to replace a sky in an image and the file types for saving your edited images. As a final assignment you will capture and then create and edit a Panorama using your digital camera and Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop Intermediate – 3 sessions
The next class: Adobe Photoshop Intermediate we will do a series of creative assignments where you will learn advanced Photoshop Skills while having fun.
WARNING: This class contains assignments you must do at home where you will be required to take pictures and edit them.
We will do an assignment called Multiplicity, where we take multiple pictures of a person in different spots and then merge them to look as if the person had been cloned. There is a Levitation assignment where you take images and merge them, then edit to make it look as if the subject has been levitated!
We’ll cover such things as how to dramatically convert your images to Black and White; How to make a collage with your images and how to turn PART of the image B&W while leaving part in color.
I will also cover all I know about how to market your images and make money with photography.
Important Note: Currently I am providing customized Photoshop Training, one-on-one. Depending on your needs I can tailor make a training program for you.
To attend Photoshop Training you MUST
- Bring your own laptop computer
- Have a current subscription to Adobe Photoshop
Scheduling: Photoshop Editing Training is available anytime! I provide personal, one-on-one Photoshop Training. The rate is $50/hr. Mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends, we can create a schedule to fit your needs.
